Job summary

Complete Security Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced flushing technician to support pre-commission cleaning on closed systems across UK sites.

You will operate flushing rigs, perform system cleansing, and assist commissioning teams while working on heating and chilled water installations.

A hands-on, reliable approach with the ability to travel and stay away, plus a full UK driving licence, are essential for success. Company vehicle or travel expenses are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in flushing/pre-commission cleaning.
• Familiarity with BG29/BG50 or exposure to these standards.
• Understanding of heating and chilled water systems.
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-Com flushing and cleaning of closed systems.
• Perform back flushing, system cleansing, and chemical dosing.
• Support preparation of systems ahead of commissioning.
• Work across heating and chilled water systems.
• Set up and operate flushing rigs, pumps, and filtration equipment.
• Understand COSHH/chemical usage within bespoke systems.
• Undertake on-site test chemistry and interpret results.
• Complete job reports and documentation accurately.
• Support colleagues on larger or more complex projects.

Job description

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out Pre-Com flushing and cleaning of closed systems
• Performing back flushing, system cleansing, and chemical dosing
• Supporting the preparation of systems ahead of commissioning
• Working across heating and chilled water systems
• Setting up and operating flushing rigs, pumps, and filtration equipment
• Understanding of COSHH / chemical usage within bespoke systems
• Ability to undertake on site test chemistry, interpretation of results and BSRIA water sampling.
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with site procedures and health & safety standards
• Completing job reports and documentation accurately
• Supporting colleagues on larger or more complex projects

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in flushing / pre-commission cleaning
• Working knowledge of BG29 and BG50 (or exposure to these standards)
• Understanding of heating and chilled water systems
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients, mechanical and commissioning engineers.
• A hands-on, reliable approach with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to travel and work away
• Full UK driving licence
