Job description

Pre-Assessment Nurse

One Hatfield Hospital, Hertfordshire's newest private hospital, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their friendly and dynamic pre-assessment team.

Reporting to the PAC Lead, the successful candidate will provide high-quality, individualized patient care as part of the clinical team, including:

1. Ensuring the comfort and safety of patients during their visit or admission.
2. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, national guidelines, and best practice standards.

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. Shifts will be between 08:00 and 20:00.

Salary: Dependent on skillset and experience, equivalent to Band 5, NHS AfC.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration.

Experience

• Clinical nursing experience in outpatient or clinic environments.
• Proven ability to work independently and within a team.

Skills

• Demonstrable knowledge, skills, and competency in required clinical practices.
• Experience with phlebotomy, cannulation, ECGs, and intravenous antibiotics is advantageous.
• Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and web-based reporting systems.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
• Experience in the private healthcare sector is preferred.
