Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the Pre Assessment team at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern and Monday–Saturday availability.

You will assist patients with hygiene, observations and mobility, work with the MDT to support safe patient care, and contribute to a caring, compassionate environment. NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care or health support role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake moving and handling tasks.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, dressing, mobility while respecting dignity.
• Help with eating and nutrition, documenting intake when appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives.
• Record routine observations (BP, pulse, rate, temp, SpO2, glucose) after training.
• Support basic clinical procedures including wound care setup and catheter care.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas and equipment for patient use.
• Work with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support safe patient care.
