Bolton Wanderers Football Club is seeking a dedicated academy coach to develop players across technical, tactical and personal aspects. You will supervise sessions and fixtures, liaise with players and parents, and safeguard welfare during travel.

Responsibilities include planning player reviews and delivering performance discussions twice yearly. The role requires UEFA B Licence, FA Youth Award modules, FA Licensed Coaching Club membership, and up-to-date safeguarding and first-aid

Qualifications

• Holds a UEFA B Licence and relevant age-related coaching qualifications.
• Member or intending member of the FA Licensed Coaching Club.
• Valid safeguarding and emergency first aid certifications.

Responsabilités

• Manage players in sessions and academy fixtures, and liaise with players/parents.
• Ensure welfare and safety during coaching and travel, including kit management.
• Prepare weekly reviews and biannual performance discussions with families.
• Plan and deliver player performance reviews in line with academy guidelines.

Description du poste

• To coach and support the development of all players in all aspects of technical, tactical, physical, psychological, social and emotional aspects of football.
• To manage the players in all coaching sessions and Academy fixtures.
• To liaise with the players/parents regarding their progress and development on a regular basis.
• Take responsibility for the players welfare and safety during Academy coaching sessions/fixtures.
• To supervise all players during Academy travel to and from away fixtures.
• To manage and maintain all kit and equipment provided by BWFC.
• To compile Individual Players reviews and game reports on a weekly basis, using the Football Intelligence Platform.
• To plan and deliver Player Performance Reviews and Parent/Guardian meetings twice yearly (November and April), in line with Academy guidelines.

• Be an ambassador of the Group, providing excellent customer service at all times whilst portraying a professional image both internally and externally.
• Treat all colleagues as customers, ensuring respectful, positive outcomes across all communications.

About The Candidate

Qualifications & Knowledge

• Hold a minimum of a UEFA B Licence.
• Hold or are working towards the relevant age-related coaching qualification, i.e. FA Youth Award Modules.
• Be a member or intend to become a member of the FA Licensed Coaching Club.
• Hold in date and valid Safeguarding Children and Emergency 1st Aid certification.

• Effective communication: Communicates confidently and effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Team working: Supports others in the achievement of their objectives.
