Job summary

Swindon Town F.C. is seeking a casual Pre-Academy Coach to support the football and holistic development of players in its Pre-Academy. The role is based at The County Ground in Swindon with travel to other training facilities.

The successful candidate will have UEFA C Licence and safeguarding qualifications, plus at least one year of coaching/mentoring experience. Excel/Word skills are required; UEFA B/FA awards are desirable. Availability on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays is essential.

Qualifications

• UEFA C Licence and Safeguarding and Protecting Children (essential).
• At least one year’s experience in a football coaching or mentoring role.
• Experience with FIP, Excel and Word.
• Desirable: UEFA B Licence, FA Youth Award, FA Advanced Youth Award and EFAiF.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the academy coaching curriculum in line with the club’s playing and coaching philosophy.
• Design age-appropriate sessions that give players maximum opportunity to learn.
• Co-coach on matchdays.
• Design practices that let players work on their IDPs.
• Give regular updates to the Pre-Academy Lead to support player reviews.
• Complete FA and club CPD.
