Job summary

Supremesearchspecialists in Leicester is seeking a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to manage a portfolio of limited company clients and deliver high-quality accounts and tax services.

You will work closely with Partners, supervise junior staff, and drive client relationships while ensuring timely delivery. This role offers progression to Client Manager and exposure to leadership opportunities, with 1 day WFH per week.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or experience-based equivalent.
• Experience managing a client portfolio in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong communication and client-focused approach required.
• Able to review work and mentor junior staff.
• Solid knowledge of accounts preparation and corporation tax.
• Organised and capable of meeting multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of limited company clients across industries.

The Role – Senior Accountant / Client Manager

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will manage your own portfolio while supporting and developing junior team members.

You will work closely with Partners, taking ownership of client relationships and ensuring high-quality delivery across accounts and tax services.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of limited company clients across a variety of industries


• Reviewing accounts preparation and tax work completed by junior staff


• Finalising accounts files for Partner review and sign-off


• Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns


• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing advice and support


• Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members


• Ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard


• Liaising closely with Partners on technical and client matters

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience


• Strong background within a UK accountancy practice


• Experience managing or supporting a client portfolio


• Confident reviewing work and supporting junior staff


• Solid knowledge of accounts preparation and corporation tax


• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach


• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines
