Job summary

RECfinancial, in North Leicestershire, is seeking a Senior Accountant to influence growth and shape how things are done. The role offers an equity option and a chance to own more in the business, with hybrid working after probation and a supportive, close-knit team.

The Senior Accountant will handle bookkeeping, year-end accounts, VAT and tax work for a varied client base, with scope for growth and more responsibility as the firm expands.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/ACA or finalist; study will be considered.
• Experience with year-end accounts and VAT/compliance work.
• Strong client communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for all clients monthly, quarterly and yearly.
• Accounts preparation for limited companies, estates and partnerships.
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Ensuring tax computations are correct and submissions are timely.
• Providing a primary point of contact for clients and ensuring satisfaction.
• Supporting business growth and process improvement.

RECfinancial are working with a boutique but growing and ambitious accountancy practice in North Leicestershire who are keen to appoint a Senior Accountant to play a key role in its next phase of growth.

What is the role of the Senior Accountant?

• Bookkeeping for all clients, monthly, quarterly and yearly
• Accounts preparation for limited companies, ST and Partnerships
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns for clients.
• Ensuring all tax computations are correct and that submissions are made on time, addressing any complex tax issues that arise
• Preparing and reviewing VAT
• Supporting clients as a primary point of contact. Ensuring end to end satisfaction
