NHS Shetland in Lerwick invites applications for a fixed term Part Time Receptionist post at Lerwick GP Practice. The role is 21 hours per week, Band 3, with a pro rata salary of £29,103–£31,409 depending on start date and conditions.
You will be part of a busy reception team, handling public queries, typing letters and referrals, and providing essential administrative support to GP services. PVG checks and right-to-work verification apply.
An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Band 3 Receptionist in the Lerwick GP Practice. The Lerwick Practice is a salaried General Practice, providing medical services to a population of approximately 8,700 patients.
This contract is fixed-term from 12 months of start date; to allow for ongoing workforce planning and review of establishment. If you wish to apply for this post as a secondment opportunity, you will need to discuss with your line manager before submitting an application.
In this busy and demanding post, you will find no two days the same the Reception staff have a key role in answering queries from members of the public as well as typing letters and referrals. Previous experience of working in a GP Practice would be an advantage but training on the job will be given.
