Job summary

NHS Orkney is seeking a dedicated Practice Administrator at Stronsay GP Practice for relief cover. The role involves using the clinical system for patient administration, handling calls and maintaining a welcoming reception.

The successful candidate will have SVQ III or equivalent administrative experience, be able to work independently and flexibly, and reside on Stronsay Island (accommodation not provided). This permanent post operates on a relief basis with UK-wide residency requirement.

The Position:

Exciting opportunities has arisen for motivated individuals to join Stronsay GP Practice to provide relief cover. The Practice Administrator plays a key role, undertaking duties which include using the clinical system for patient administration, taking calls and providing a welcoming environment.

The Practice Administrator will be required to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with minimum supervision while ensuring workload is processed efficiently and effectively. This post involves dealing with sensitive information therefore confidentiality is a key element of this role.

The Candidate:

Applications are sought from individuals who are qualified to SVQ III or equivalent administrative experience. You must have the ability to work independently, flexibly and have excellent communication skills and live on the specified Island, accommodation is not provided by NHS Orkney.
