Location: Carmarthenshire

Description: Practice Payroll Position - full or part-time! Flexible working, office-based

We are seeking a Payroll Officer for a full-time or part-time, permanent role in Carmarthen, offering a salary of £25,000-£32,000 depending on experience. The role offers flexibility, ideal for those seeking a 3/4 or 5 day week, making it suitable for childcare, study, or work-life balance.

The successful candidate will have payroll experience, ideally end-to-end, and will join a busy Payroll Bureau providing comprehensive payroll and pension services to a range of clients, from sole traders to larger companies. This role is suitable for someone new to practice payroll but eager to expand their experience.

Responsibilities include working with colleagues and senior members across various businesses, handling different pay cycles, preparing accurate payroll records, ensuring timely payments, complying with HMRC legislation (including RTI and Auto Enrolment), processing BACS payments, and meeting chargeable hours and recovery targets.

The ideal candidate will excel in customer service and be comfortable liaising with diverse clients. A minimum of 6 months' payroll experience is required; training will be provided to facilitate the transition into practice.
