Job summary

IC24 is recruiting a Practice Nurse for Allied Medical Practice in Brighton. You will provide a full range of nursing care across a busy primary care setting, including chronic disease management, immunisations and health promotion.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective care tailored to patient needs. You will be registered with the NMC, experienced in general practice, and able to manage long‑term conditions with sound clinical judgement.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience working in general practice or primary care.
• Experience managing long‑term conditions.
• Strong clinical judgement and safe decision‑making.
• Clear and effective communication with patients and colleagues.
• Confident working independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to clinical documentation.
• Committed to delivering compassionate, patient‑centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care: assessment, treatment, screening and health education.
• Manage long-term conditions with diabetes, respiratory and cardiovascular disease management.
• Provide NHS Health Checks, cervical screening, immunisations, travel health advice and smoking cessation support.
• Carry out wound care, ear care, phlebotomy, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring and other routine procedures.
• Support quality and clinical governance with accurate coding and recording.
• Work with GPs, HCAs, and wider clinical colleagues to deliver coordinated care.
• Recognise safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately.
