Job summary

Principal Medical Limited is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to work Monday to Friday (20 hours) with occasional weekends and bank holidays. You will support the GP and health professionals, provide high-quality care in the treatment room, and contribute to patient well-being in a busy primary care setting.

The role requires NMC registration, degree-level education, and experience in primary care. Training and development opportunities are available as the practice grows and engages in

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
• Certification of competency in child immunisation.
• Experience in a Primary Care Setting preferred.
• Diabetes/COPD/Asthma management knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic assessment of patients attending treatment rooms.
• Provide wound management and adhere to evidence-based guidelines.
• Assist in minor procedures and injections.
• Carry out cervical cytology smear assessments.
• Promote vaccinations and administer vaccines per policy.
• Maintain infection control guidelines and accurate records.
• Manage treatment room equipment and stock.
• Support training and development for junior staff.
