Kingskerswell & Ipplepen Medical Practice in the United Kingdom is seeking a Practice Nurse to join the clinical team. The role focuses on long‑term condition management, immunisations, travel vaccines, cervical screening, wound care, and family planning, with responsibilities across urgent care and patient education.

Candidates should have active NMC registration, a primary care or community nursing background, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Competenze

• First-level RGN or equivalent required and NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care or community setting preferred.
• Written and verbal communication skills essential.

Mansioni

• Manage long‑term conditions and preventative care, including reviewing medication and supporting adherence.
• Deliver adult and childhood immunisations and travel vaccinations.
• Carry out cervical cytology screening.
• Provide family planning and sexual health services.
• Provide wound care, dressings and minor injury treatment.
• Assist with minor procedures and phlebotomy.
• Deliver health promotion and self‑care education to patients.
• Manage urgent and emergency situations, including initial emergency care.
• Recognise, assess and refer patients with mental health needs.
• Contribute to clinical audit, quality improvement and governance.
• Manage stock, cold chain, controlled drugs and PGD sign‑off for vaccines and drugs.
• Apply infection control measures and mentor students.
