Job summary

The North Thoresby Practice is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly nursing team. We welcome both full-time and part-time applications and encourage applicants aiming for leadership responsibilities to apply.

You will deliver general practice nursing services across wound care, immunisations, cervical screening and long-term condition management, with the opportunity to develop into Nurse Manager leadership and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience as Practice Nurse or relevant clinical nursing role.
• Experience delivering general practice nursing services (wound care, immunisations, health promotion).
• Experience managing long-term conditions (asthma, COPD, diabetes or CKD).
• Experience undertaking clinical audits and maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Experience working within clinical protocols, infection prevention and control procedures.
• Experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising colleagues.
• Desirable: nursing leadership or management experience, including staff development and clinical governance.
• Desirable: experience managing nursing team performance for Nurse Manager responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• The Practice Nurse will deliver a range of general practice nursing services, including wound care, immunisations, cervical screening, health promotion, phlebotomy and long-term condition management.
• The role will also involve supporting clinical audits, maintaining high standards of patient care and working collaboratively with the wider practice team.
• For the right candidate, there is also an opportunity to take on Nurse Manager responsibilities, including providing clinical leadership, supporting and developing the nursing team, overseeing clinical protocols and contributing to clinical governance and service development.
• Full-time or part-time hours will be considered.
