Job summary

The Red House Surgery is offering a full-time position for an experienced practice nurse within a busy, friendly and supportive NHS GP practice team. Hours are negotiable.

This post requires an enthusiastic, very organised and friendly person who has the ability to adapt to a variety of duties and who is willing to take on any tasks that may be required to ensure the smooth running of our surgery. Experience in practice nursing is desirable.

Qualifications

• NMC PIN and GP practice nursing experience required.
• At least 2 years post-registration experience.
• Willingness to adapt and learn in a busy NHS GP environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality nursing services in collaboration with the Primary Health Care Team.
• Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially.
• Administer injections, immunisations and wound care.
• Contribute to chronic disease management and women’s health services.
• Assist with minor procedures and infection control.

Degree or DipHE in Nursing Studies

Current NMC registration

Revalidation

2 years post-registration experience
