Job summary

King's Medical Centre in Mansfield is recruiting a Practice Nurse on a nine months' fixed-term maternity cover starting January 2027. The role covers long-term condition reviews, childhood and adult immunisations, cervical screening, wound care and INR monitoring, with flexible hours and days.

You will join a nursing team led by a Lead Practice Nurse and three Healthcare Assistants. NMC registration and prior Practice Nurse experience are essential, with potential for a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Evidence of CPD and ongoing professional development
• Cervical screening qualification or training
• Immunisation and vaccination training including childhood immunisations
• Competency in core Practice Nursing duties

Responsibilities

• Long-term condition reviews and management including diabetes, asthma, COPD, cardiovascular disease and hypertension
• Treatment room duties: wound care, injections, ECGs, blood pressure checks
• Cervical screening and immunisations under national programmes
• INR testing and anticoagulation monitoring for warfarin patients
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Record-keeping in accordance with NMC standards and infection control
