Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in Ruislip. The role focuses on delivering chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

As part of the team, you will support high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and efficient treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows and nursing leadership to guide daily clinic delivery.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Experience in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS clear or in place.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations if trained.
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.

Key Responsibilities
