Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Horley. You will deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care and treatment room duties, plus immunisations and NHS Health Checks in a structured primary care setting.

We require a NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience. Immunisation and cytology training are desirable. Familiarity with EMIS/SystmOne/Vision is helpful and an Enhanced DBS is required; regular or ad-hoc sessions with long-term bookings available.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
