Job summary

Love Street Medical Centre in Paisley is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to increase patient appointments and support two practices. You may cover Glenburn Medical Practice during holidays or sickness, working with GPs, ANPs, and in-house NHS staff. Training on the Vision system is provided if needed.

Applicants must have NMC registration, Enhanced Disclosure, and be eligible to work in the UK. Prior experience in general practice and chronic disease care is essential; cervical screening

• Willingness to provide cervical screening or undertake training to provide this service.

Job description

Love Street Medical Centre is a friendly, Paisley based practice, who offer a high standard of person centred care. We have a practice population of approximately 6000 patients. We also cover Glenburn Medical Practice which is approximately 3 miles from the Love Street practice with 2800 patients. You may occasionally be required to cover Glenburn during holidays or to cover sickness. Both practices have a lovely teams with GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses as well as our in- house staff provided by the NHS including Community Links Worker and Community Wellbeing Nurses on a part time basis and Health Care Assistant support.

Our clinical system is Vision. We are happy to provide inhouse training if you have never used this system before.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Practice Nurse to increase the appointments we can offer our patients. Hours are to be confirmed but this may suit someone already established in another role, looking to undertake extra hours or working up to 30 hours per week with us.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

All applicants should hold valid NMC registration and Enhanced Disclosure and be eligible to work in the UK.

Experience of practice nursing in general practice and long term chronic disease management are essential. We would also like someone who can provide cervical screening or someone who is willing to undertake training to provide this service to our patients.
