Job summary

Lytham Road Surgery in Rishton is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to join our GP team. The role covers 22.5 hours weekly with an emphasis on patient-centred care, delivering care to our diverse patient panel and working within the NHS guidelines.

You will operate within a fully computerised EMIS Web environment, with prior COPD, asthma, diabetes, hypertension, immunisation experience preferred. Applicants must have UK registration and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Essential: BSc 1st Level Registered Nurse and DBS Check.
• Desirable: Diplomas in CPD areas (e.g., CVD, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD) and immunisation training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all duties reasonably expected of a Practice Nurse in line with NMC standards and local guidelines.
• Provide high standards of care and support to patients within a GP practice.
• Contribute to immunisation programmes and chronic disease management.

The post holder will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of a Practice Nurse using the standards expected by the NMC and in line with appropriate national and/or local guidelines.
