Lytham Road Surgery is recruiting a Part-time Practice Nurse for 22.5 hours per week in Preston. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care within a supportive, patient-centred team in a modern, paper-light GP practice.

The successful applicant will have knowledge of COPD & Asthma management, Diabetes, Hypertension, sexual health, cervical cytology, and childhood immunisations. UK Registration and DBS check are essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of a Practice Nurse using the standards expected by the NMC and in line with appropriate national and/or local guidelines.

The successful candidate will join our existing clinical team of 2 GP Partners, 9 salaried GPs, 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants & Paramedic Practitioner.

Job responsibilities

Essential

• BSc 1st Level Registered Nurse, DBS Check

Desirable

• Diploma in CVD, Diploma in Diabetes, Diploma in Asthma, Diploma in COPD, Approved Smear Taker, Evidence of continuing professional Development, Evidence of immunisation training
