Job summary

Urban Practice in Glasgow is inviting applications for a part-time Practice Nurse. The role focuses on chronic disease management and preventive care within a friendly team of 2 Practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant. EMIS will be used for patient records and scheduling.

PVG checks and NMC registration are required, with training provided as needed. Experience with cervical cytology and contraception is advantageous; a prescribing qualification would be useful but is not essential.

Qualifications

Radnor Street Surgery, 3 Radnor Street, Glasgow G3 7UB

Applications are invited for our vacancy for a Practice Nurse. We are seeking to employ an experienced, enthusiastic nurse who is looking to develop existing skills in a primary care setting with an interest in chronic disease management. You will be a valuable member of our established nursing team of 2 Practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant. We are a friendly practice based in the West End of Glasgow with 6 GPs.

The post is for 24 hours per week, days and hours to be negotiated at interview.

Our surgery is a shared site with two GP Practices, 3 GPs per surgery, with a joint patient list of approx 12,000. Our clinical system is EMIS.

Candidates should be registered with NMC and be willing to be PVG checked.

Experience in chronic disease management, cervical cytology and contraception would be beneficial although training will be provided for the successful candidate.

A prescribing qualification would be advantageous however this is not essential
