Job summary

Staff Partners in Cambridge is seeking an experienced GP Practice Nurse to join friendly GP practices on a flexible, part-time basis. You will manage a range of treatment room duties independently within a busy primary care setting.

Applicants should have valid NMC registration and recent GP practice experience. The role offers competitive hourly rates, weekly pay, and flexible shifts to fit your availability.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Recent GP Practice/Primary Care nursing experience essential.
• Competent in treatment room procedures.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Up-to-date mandatory training and immunisation status.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Cervical screening (smears).
• Immunisations for children and adults; travel vaccines.
• Wound care and dressings; chronic disease management (desirable).
• Health promotion and NHS health checks; ECGs and venepuncture.
• Blood pressure monitoring; infection prevention and control.
• Accurate clinical record keeping in GP systems.

Practice Nurse

Location: Cambridge

Pay Rate : £40,000 - £43,000 Pro Rota

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time 2 - 3 days per week

We are currently seeking experienced GP Practice Nurse to join friendly and supportive GP practices in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled nurses looking for flexible work within a busy primary care setting.

Primary care experience is essential. Applicants must have recent experience working within a GP practice and be confident managing a range of treatment room duties independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cervical screening (smears)
• Childhood and adult immunisations
• Travel vaccinations
• Wound care and dressings
• Chronic disease management (desirable)
• Health promotion and NHS health checks
• ECGs, venepuncture and blood pressure monitoring
• Infection prevention and control
• Accurate clinical record keeping using GP clinical systems

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
