Job summary

Queens Park Group Surgery in Bedford is seeking an experienced practice nurse to join our team. The role involves assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment programs for patients. The position can be full-time or part-time depending on the successful applicant.

The primary focus of this role is health promotion, disease management, and providing a comprehensive range of nursing services, including chronic disease management, health checks, screenings, immunizations, and vaccinations.

Main duties include:

1. Performing general nursing duties such as dressings and ear syringing.
2. Completing ECG and spirometry tests.
3. Providing health and travel advice.
4. Conducting health checks for new patients and those over 75.
5. Carrying out screenings like lipids, blood pressure, and cervical smears.
6. Supporting clinics for diabetes, hypertension, asthma, menopause, warfarin, minor surgery, and contraception.
7. Preparing pathology samples and performing venipuncture if required.
