Job summary

HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a commercially focused Practice Manager to lead a busy private patient GP and Health Centre in Glasgow City Centre. You will oversee operations, finance, and service delivery, partnering with GPs and clinical teams to ensure exceptional patient experiences.

You will drive high-performance culture, manage budgets, and align activities with regulatory standards while leveraging HCA’s national support and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager in a GP/Medical Centre environment.
• Strong knowledge of Scottish GP Primary Care governance and quality standards.
• Demonstrable experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven track record partnering GPs and MDTs and driving productivity.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data on productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational management of a busy private GP and Health Centre.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and financial performance to ensure commercial success.
• Analyse performance data and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
• Drive patient experience standards and high-quality service delivery.
• Recruit, induct, train and motivate team members to a high performance level.
• Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation and service delivery.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, governance and health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with clinicians and senior stakeholders to optimise pathways.
• Build relationships with corporate clients and other external stakeholders.
