Job summary

HCA UK Primary Care Glasgow is seeking an experienced Lead General Practitioner to join our growing private GP team in Glasgow. This salaried role will require a minimum of 8 sessions per week with protected leadership time, within a collaborative, supportive environment.

You will lead clinical governance, mentor GPs, and drive high standards of patient safety while delivering extended consultations, health screenings and personalised health plans for adults.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Previous experience as GP Partner or Practice Lead GP or in a leadership role.
• Strong mentoring, teaching and coaching capabilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to preventative healthcare and patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to fellow GPs.
• Lead local clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and develop new GPs; induct and onboard clinicians.
• Ensure robust clinical pathways, policies and patient safety processes.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager to drive efficient, high-quality service.
• Deliver high-quality adult private patient care through GP consultations and health screening.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and health screenings; interpret investigations.
• Provide medical advice, prescribe where appropriate, and support lifestyle change.
• Undertake procedures such as phlebotomy, cervical screening and ECGs.
• Foster a culture of clinical excellence and patient-centred care.
