Job summary

HCA UK Glasgow seeks a GP Manager/Lead Doctor to lead the clinical team onsite, delivering high-quality care to corporate clients, VIPs and private patients. The role combines clinical autonomy with managerial responsibilities and governance oversight.

You will manage GPs and health screening doctors, drive service design, support recruitment and training, and uphold safety and patient-centred care in a private healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• GMC registered and on the GP Register.
• MRCGP (or equivalent) required.
• Extensive GP practice experience post-qualifying.
• Direct line and people management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of governance, The Scottish Care Inspectorate and inspections.
• Experience as a GP Partner or Lead/Manager.
• Experience recruiting, training and inducting new colleagues.
• Strong communication and IT skills.
• Adaptable and able to meet changing working patterns and caseload.
• Proactive, patient-first approach with preventative and lifestyle medicine focus.
• Private patient experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Line-manage GPs, Senior GPs and Health Screening Doctors.
• Provide high-quality, personalised care while ensuring safety and governance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and clinician training.
• Lead on clinical audits, quality improvement and service design.
• Maintain liaison with corporate clients for contract delivery and retention.
