Job summary

Woodland Vets, part of IV C Evidensia, is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the non-clinical operations of the Midhurst practice and work closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running and outstanding client experience.

You will oversee staffing, budgets, and processes, delivering smooth workflows while maintaining a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care. The role is full-time, Mon-Fri, with flexibility discussed for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, or service-led environments
• Strong people management skills, including performance management and team development
• Good operational and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience handling complaints, change, and complex situations with confidence
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop the non-clinical team, creating a positive and collaborative culture

We have an exciting opportunity for a people-focused and motivated Practice Manager to join Woodland Vets to work alongside our DoPCS, supported by our Lead Vet, Head Nurse and 2 Head Receptionists.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys working with people, and is quick to learn.

• Our main site is based in Midhurst and we have three smaller branches within a 9 mile radius.
• Situated in the beautiful South Downs, a stone throws away from the coast and London, giving the best of both worlds.
• Joining an amazing team of 9 Vets, 7 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 4 VCAs, and receptionists all working together to achieve an excellent standard of care.
• This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are open to discussing flexibility for the right candidate.

How you'll make a difference

As Practice Manager, you will lead the non-clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience.

You'll be responsible for operational delivery, people management, and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality, and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care.
