Job summary

Portman Dental Care is seeking a motivated Practice Manager for Whitehall Dental Care in Drighlington to lead a dedicated team and deliver outstanding patient care.

You will join a 4-surgery private practice in a listed building, with 40 hours per week, a supportive operations manager, and a strong focus on growth, compliance, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Background in healthcare, retail, hospitality, or a similar service-focused field.
• Experience leading and supporting colleagues to perform at their best.
• Confident working with financials (P&L, KPIs, budgets).
• Focused on delivering operational excellence and compliant, process-driven practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the dental practice team to deliver excellent patient care.
• Oversee daily operations, facilities, equipment, and compliance.
• Collaborate with the operations manager and business partners on practice growth.
• Act as Registered Manager for the practice.

We’re looking for a motivated and people-focused Practice Manager to join our fabulous team at Whitehall Dental Care in Drighlington.

• Full-time hours available, 40 hours per week over 5 days with typical shifts of 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
• Competitive hourly rate from £16p/h
• Free parking available close to the Practice
• 4 surgery fully private practice in a beautiful listed building. Long-standing, cross-generational patient base, and a very established team.
• Supportive and collaborative operations manager and business partners, assisting with overall practice growth and management

Please note that as part of your role, you’ll be the Registered Manager for this practice.

About you

We’d love to receive your application to our Practice Manager vacancy if you have the following skills and experience:

• A healthcare, retail, hospitality, or similar service-focused background - experience managing a dental practice or strong leadership experience as a lead dental nurse is an added bonus, but not essential
• Passionate about delivering great service
• Leading and supporting colleagues to perform at their best
• Confident working with financials (P&L, KPIs, budgets)
• Focused on delivering operational excellence: from fully-functioning equipment and facilities, to a compliant, process-driven practice team
