Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital seeks a Band 6 Practice Facilitator to support Fox and Robin Ward within the Blood, Cells and Cancer Directorate. This 10‑month secondment is part‑time, with responsibilities across the directorate to ensure staff complete up-to-date training and education opportunities.

The role requires enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to teach and mentor nurses and allied health professionals. Experience with IV therapy, blood products, and chemotherapy is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Registration as RN/RSCN (Child or Adult).
• Mentorship/assessor/supervisor qualification or course.
• Desirable: First Degree or working towards.
• Desirable: SpecialistHaematology/Oncology/BMT/Immunology/S.ACT training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain a skilled, competent workforce through education, mentorship and professional development.
• Deliver high-quality education programmes, practice development initiatives, audits and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and staff development.
• Support and assess clinical staff to ensure ongoing training and competency.
