Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Haematology Clinical Practice Facilitator to join the Bud Flanagan Unit on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role supports education and training across the Haematology Ward, with a focus on developing nursing and HCSW practice.

You will work 30 hours per week, providing clinical mentoring, leading on core nursing skills (SACT, cellular therapy, transfusion) and supporting student nurses and staff to achieve excellence in cancer

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC and eligible to practise in the UK.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent with ongoing professional development.
• Evidence of haematology nursing experience post-registration.
• Experience as an advocate for professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to Haematology Practice Educator and nursing team.
• Facilitate core nursing skills for treatment modalities including SACT, Transplant, Cellular Therapy and clinical trials.
• Support newly qualified nurses to become clinically competent.
• Assist in supporting JACIE accreditation objectives for staff.
• Support student nurses in the clinical environment and liaise with Ward Managers for placements.
