Job summary

Hartlepool Borough Council is seeking a Practice Development Coordinator to lead the ASYE and Social Work Apprenticeship programmes within Children’s Services. The role focuses on supervision, coaching and developing practice excellence across the workforce.

You will deliver individual and group supervision, support development planning and reviews, and ensure apprentices progress through their learning journey, while embedding a strengths-based approach and high standards of professional

Qualifications

• Experience in supervision and relationship-based practice.
• Ability to coach, mentor and provide development planning.
• Understanding of safeguarding and strengths-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group supervision, coaching and mentoring to social workers and apprentices.
• Support development planning, reviews and practice observations.
• Quality assure portfolios and monitor progression of ASYE and apprenticeship programmes.
• Contribute to embedding strengths-based models across Children’s Services.
• Inspire colleagues and promote reflective supervision and continuous professional development.
