Hartlepool Borough Council is seeking a Practice Development Coordinator to lead the ASYE and Social Work Apprenticeship programmes within Children’s Services. The role focuses on supervision, coaching and developing practice excellence across the workforce.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of safeguarding and strengths-based approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group supervision, coaching and mentoring to social workers and apprentices.
  • Support development planning, reviews and practice observations.
  • Quality assure portfolios and monitor progression of ASYE and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Contribute to embedding strengths-based models across Children’s Services.
  • Inspire colleagues and promote reflective supervision and continuous professional development.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to play a key role in delivering our Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and Social Work Apprenticeship programmes across Children's Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and support the professional development of newly qualified social workers and apprentices at a pivotal stage in their careers.

In this rewarding role, you will provide individual and group supervision, coaching and mentoring, support development planning and reviews, undertake practice observations, quality assure portfolios, and help ensure apprentices successfully progress through their learning journey.

You will be experienced in supervision, relationship-based practice, and effective risk management, with the ability to inspire and influence colleagues.
