Job summary

Norfolk County Council is seeking a Practice Consultant – Occupational Therapist to provide professional oversight and guidance across social work and occupational therapy at the Adult Social Care front door. The role demands leadership, reflective practice and collaboration with partners to promote preventative, person-centred care.

You will support practitioners with complex cases, contribute to audits and drive continuous improvement within a hybrid working model in Norwich.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and eligible to practice in your profession.
• Experience providing professional oversight and guidance to frontline staff.
• Ability to lead across social work and occupational therapy practice in a front-door context.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional consultation and challenge on complex front-door cases.
• Support practitioners to apply strengths-based, person-centred and preventative practice.
• Promote high-quality recording evidencing professional judgement and actions.
• Contribute to audits, reflective learning and supervision support.
• Collaborate with managers and partner agencies to resolve practice issues.
• Champion Human Learning Systems and relational, preventative service delivery.
