Job summary

Derby City Council is recruiting a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist (part-time, 18.5 hours per week) to lead high‑quality practice within social care. You will supervise teams, supervise practice, and drive innovation across prevention, enablement and trauma-informed care.

You'll work in adults or children OT teams, enabling goals with home and community services. You will hold an OT degree (DipCOT/BSc/MSc), be HCPC registered, and bring substantial health/housing/social care

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with degree in OT and practice educator experience.
• Significant experience in health, housing or social care settings.
• Ability to lead best practice and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise practice; quality assure others' practice.
• Deliver project leadership in reablement, enablement, and trauma-informed care.
• Support assessments of need and care planning across Adults/Children OT teams.
• Promote prevention and innovation within occupational therapy in the council.
