Job summary

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking an Assistant Team Manager - Occupational Therapy to join the Adult Social Care Operations team in a hybrid role. You will provide advanced OT practice, lead the Front Door duty, triage and allocation, and oversee referrals to ensure timely, person-centred responses for residents.

Reporting to the Service Team Manager and the Principal Occupational Therapist, you will supervise OT staff, manage complex cases, promote best practice and support

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and a recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
• Post-qualification experience in adult social care, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act and ability to apply in practice.
• Excellent communication, leadership and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, oversee complex cases and promote best practice and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Front Door Occupational Therapy duty, triage and allocation function with prioritised referrals.
• Provide professional leadership, supervision, mentoring and practice oversight to OT staff.
• Manage a small complex caseload and support high-quality assessments, safeguarding inquiries, Mental Capacity assessments and risk management planning.
• Collaborate with health colleagues, partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams to achieve resident outcomes.
• Drive service improvement initiatives and champion strengths-based practice and assistive technology.
