Square Peg Associates is hiring a Practice Bookkeeper to manage a diverse client base across small businesses. You’ll work with VT Software or Sage/Xero/QuickBooks and develop your skills within a supportive team.

This role offers flexible approaches, potential for progression, and an opportunity to balance office work with occasional home-based days as you gain confidence with clients and the company structure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping.
• Experience with VAT returns, MTD and CIS returns.
• Able to learn VT Software quickly and train others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare VAT returns for clients.
• Process MTD compliance and CIS returns.
• Handle payroll, with training offered.
• Reconcile client accounts and verify accuracy.
• Manage expense claims and related documentation.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries.
