Our client is a leading PR and communications agency based in Central Manchester, with a hybrid working policy. Due to expansion, they’re seeking to recruit a PR Account Manager with a salary of up to £38,000.

What is expected of the PR Account Manager?
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of client organisations, target markets, competitors, market challenges, and the wider political and media landscape, and speak with expertise about them.
  • Utilise PR tools and databases (e.g., Brandwatch, Trendwatching, YouGov) to develop programmes.
  • Attend training to stay updated with new trends, tools, and innovations within media, client sectors, and the PR industry.
  • Strengthen client relationships and act as the central day-to-day contact, providing thoughtful consultancy across programmes.
  • Lead client meetings, develop compelling presentations, and coordinate client reviews.
  • Manage the delivery of client programmes and campaigns, ensuring deadlines and KPIs are met, and proactively update client leads on issues.
  • Use creativity and understanding of client sectors to identify opportunities and craft news angles, maintaining strong media relationships.
  • Research and produce content for owned, earned, and shared media, understanding target audiences, key messages, and channels.
  • Propose fresh, creative ideas regularly for client programmes.
  • Monitor media and digital channels for client issues, providing timely updates and applying critical thinking to reputational challenges.
  • Contribute to strategic proposals, turning insights into recommendations and defining communication roles and journeys.
  • Participate in new business pitches, owning sections and identifying growth opportunities with existing clients.
  • Understand additional agency services and identify opportunities to offer them to clients.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth and collaborate with senior colleagues to share them with clients.
  • Continuously learn new skills, support agency initiatives, and grow sector knowledge.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, aligning with agency values.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, participate in team meetings, and support agency initiatives to motivate and retain talent.
What we look for in a PR Account Manager?
  • Previous experience as an Account Manager in a marketing agency or experience in real estate, professional services, financial services, or technology is preferred.
