Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a PPA Teacher for Leyland to start in September 2026. The position is full-time for one term with potential extension, located in Leyland within a welcoming primary school.

You will plan, deliver across year groups, and cover PPA time while maintaining high-quality teaching standards. The successful candidate will hold QTS with experience across the primary age range and be able to adapt quickly to new classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress and target outcomes.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and strong pupil relationships.
• Collaborate with class teachers and staff to ensure consistency and outcomes.

Salary: M1-M6 (dependent on experience)

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time role for the Autumn Term, with the possibility of the position being extended as the school is considering recruiting on a longer-term basis. Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop your teaching experience or an experienced teacher seeking a fresh challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons across different year groups in line with the National Curriculum.
• Cover classes while teachers are released for their PPA time.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different pupils and abilities.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Establish strong relationships with pupils and maintain effective classroom management.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers and colleagues to ensure consistency and the best outcomes for pupils.
• Attend staff meetings, parents' evenings, and other school events as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching across the primary age range, including placements for ECTs.
• Is confident teaching different year groups and adapting quickly to new classrooms.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
• Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is flexible, enthusiastic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
