Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated PPA Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Leyland for a September 2026 start. The role is full-time for a term with potential extension, and involves planning, delivering across year groups, and covering PPA time.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has primary teaching experience, strong classroom management, and excellent communication. Opportunities for longer-term or permanent placement may arise.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching across the primary age range, including placements for ECTs.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across year groups in line with the National Curriculum.
• Cover classes during PPA time and maintain high standards of learning.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and school events as required.
