Are you an experienced PPA Teacher looking for a part-time role?
A welcoming and supportive two-form entry Primary School in Dudley is seeking a dedicated PPA Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis, working Monday, Thursday and Friday.
This role will involve providing general class cover across different year groups, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for a varied and consistent teaching position.
The school is open to ECTs, although ideally would like to appoint a teacher with experience teaching across different key stages.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching across a range of classes, with no planning responsibilities required. You will be expected to deliver lessons using the existing class teacher's planning, manage behaviour effectively, and liaise with class teachers to ensure continuity and consistency for pupils.
As a PPA Teacher, your responsibilities will include:- Providing high-quality teaching cover across different classes and year groups.
- Working Monday, Thursday and Friday on a consistent part-time basis.
- Delivering lessons using the planning and resources provided by the class teacher.
- Adapting teaching and learning where necessary to meet the needs of pupils.
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Liaising effectively with class teachers to provide feedback on pupil progress, behaviour and any relevant issues.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and supporting their academic and personal development.
- Working collaboratively with other teachers, Teaching Assistants and school staff.
- Following school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
- Attending relevant staff meetings and other school commitments where required.
To be successful in this PPA Teacher role, you will need:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT working towards completion of your induction.
- Previous experience teaching across different year groups or Key Stages is desirable.
- A good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils across different age groups.
- Confidence adapting to different classes, teaching styles and pupil needs.
- The ability to follow existing planning and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Strong communication and liaison skills when working with class teachers and support staff.
- A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- A DBS on the update service, or issued within the last 12 months.
- A minimum of two excellent references.

This PPA Teacher position is based in Dudley and is easily commutable from surrounding areas including Stourbridge, Halesowen, Kingswinford, Brierley Hill, Tipton and Wolverhampton.
