This temporary, flexible ongoing supply opportunity is ideal for a dedicated teacher who enjoys working with different year groups and delivering engaging lessons. As a PPA Cover Teacher in Rotherham, you will help ensure pupils continue to receive high-quality teaching while their class teachers have time for planning, preparation and assessment.

Position: PPA Cover Teacher
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP or a date that suits you

About the Role

As a PPA Cover Teacher in Rotherham, you will cover lessons across primary year groups while class teachers undertake their PPA time. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain continuity in learning and adapt to the needs of different classes. Opportunities may be available in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 across a variety of primary schools in Rotherham.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging lessons using plans and resources provided by the school
• Supporting pupils across different primary year groups
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Adapting activities to meet pupils' individual learning needs
• Providing feedback to school staff on pupil engagement and progress

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting
• Confidence managing classes across different year groups
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
