Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains offers a year-long placement in Validation & Test Engineering. You will work hands-on in our state-of-the-art facilities to develop, test and sign off powertrain systems, from components to full power units.

Responsibilities include dyno prep, upgrade projects, data analysis, and NX CAD design for manufacture. You will gain exposure to the 2027 F1 season and contribute to championship-winning powertrains.

Qualifications

• At least one year of undergraduate study in an engineering degree.
• Demonstrated practical engineering involvement through projects or placements.
• Familiarity with CAD software (training provided).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Background in electronic systems, ideally automotive.
• Experience analysing data from simulations or tests and documenting results.
• Ability to break complex problems down and investigate methodically.
• Willingness to learn new skills and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical, electronic and software aspects of dyno preparation and operation.
• Design and implement upgrade projects on test rigs and dynos for powertrain components.
• Integrate equipment to dyno data acquisition, monitoring and control systems.
• Develop CAD parts for manufacture using NX as part of diverse projects.
• Hands-on build, implementation of projects and assemblies.
• Analyse PU and dyno data for fault finding and reporting.
• Collaborate with Technical and Test teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Gain exposure to the 2027 Formula 1 season and contribute to Red Bull Powertrains.
