Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains offers a year-long placement in Validation & Test Engineering. You will work hands-on with dynos and test rigs to develop and verify powertrain components and systems for the 2027 F1 season. The role emphasizes practical CAD work, data analysis, and collaboration across engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of undergraduate engineering study, strong teamwork, and an eagerness to learn NX CAD and test instrumentation in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience from at least one year of undergraduate study in an Engineering degree.
• Familiarity with CAD software for Electrical/Mechanical design (training provided).
• Ability to communicate clearly and work within a team on technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist dyno preparation and operation across mechanical, electronic, and software aspects.
• Design and implement upgrade projects on test rigs and dynos for Powertrain components.
• Integrate equipment to dyno data acquisition, monitoring, and control systems.
• Develop CAD competence using NX for parts design and manufacturability.
• Build and implement projects, upgrades and assemblies for testing.
• Analyse PU and Dyno data to support fault finding and verification.
• Collaborate with Technical and Test teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Gain exposure to the 2027 Formula 1 season and Red Bull Powertrains future plans.
