Job summary

ALTEN LTD - UK in Coventry is seeking a Powertrain Test Engineer to join the automotive engineering team. You will support testing and validation of engine and EDU/E-machine systems, ensuring regulatory and performance requirements are met in a dynamic test environment.

Mid to Senior level (5-9 years), you will troubleshoot, analyze data, and contribute to homologation activities, with on-site hybrid working and a clear path for career development within a global engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Experience working in powertrain testing or validation environments.
• Familiarity with automotive engineering processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support engine and EDU/E-machine test cell activities and validation programmes.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues through structured problem-solving.
• Conduct data analysis and support test result interpretation.
• Assist in delivering testing aligned to regulatory and homologation requirements.
