Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains is offering a year-long placement within our Systems Engineering teams, immersed in our state-of-the-art Technical and Testing facilities. You will contribute to embedded control, calibration, and application processes for optimizing single and multi-cylinder engines as well as hybrid power units, including on-track deployment of the 2027 Power Unit.

You'll work with engineers to develop and test embedded software strategies for PU control and performance, applying

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply mathematical methods to solve real-world problems.
• Experience with handling and analysing data from simulations or physical tests, and producing technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Python, R, MATLAB, Simulink for system development and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the embedded control, calibration, and application process to optimise engine and hybrid power units, from controls strategy to testing.
• Develop and test embedded software strategies for PU control and performance optimisation in a team.
• Apply engineering principles to understand system interactions to maximise reliability and performance on track.
• Build and validate numerical methods for calibration and analysis to maximise performance.
• Interpret and report data through technical documentation and present insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver world-class engineering solutions.
