Job summary

Loganair Limited in Glasgow is seeking a Technical Services Engineer (Powerplant) to deliver broad technical support across the engine fleet and APUs. The role emphasises reliability improvements, policy development and close collaboration with CAMO, MRO teams and manufacturers.

Key duties include managing engine/APU workscope, monitoring in-service performance, and providing expert guidance to secure safety and operational reliability while balancing cost and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Aeronautical degree or EASA/UK CAA Part 66 Cat B1 license.
• Experience in an airline, engine manufacturer or overhaul environment is highly regarded.
• Ability to work effectively with on-call/ rota shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide a complete technical support service to all departments within Loganair Limited.
• Define and control the workscope of Engines and APUs to achieve high technical standards and optimum cost.
• Review engine fleet reliability, investigate incidents and implement improvements to maintenance programmes.
• Define engine condition monitoring policies to ensure safety, reliability and reduce delays.
• Schedule engine changes to minimise disruption and monitor in-service engine performance.
• Provide 24-hour on-call response on a rota basis and liaise with OEMs and repair agencies.
