Job summary

British Airways is hiring for a Powerplant Technical Support Group engineer at Heathrow, providing expert technical support to the fleet engines and APUs. You will ensure safety, reliability and cost-of-ownership considerations are met while supporting daily operations.

The role requires a solid aerospace background, BA/EASA approvals, and a B1/B2 licence. It includes shift work and opportunities for specialist and type training within BA's Global Learning Academy.

Qualifications

• Solid aerospace engineering background with engine/APU knowledge.
• Ability to hold CAA/EASA approvals and BA approvals.
• Hold B1/B2 Licence without Type rating; Part 145/Part21 approvals advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to daily operations of BA engines and APUs.
• Manage safety, reliability, technical performance and cost of ownership for the engine fleet.
• Lead Engineering activities to prevent or recover AOGs worldwide.
• Work in shift-based roles and engage in specialist training and type training.
