Job summary

Carrington West is seeking Project Engineers to support LV to 132kV electricity distribution projects across multiple sites in the North East and Yorkshire. You will contribute across the project lifecycle from design coordination and technical assurance through to construction support and commissioning, delivering safe, on-time, within-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in LV to 132kV distribution projects.
• Knowledge of power/utility project delivery.
• Ability to coordinate across cable, overhead line, substation and civil works.
• Strong communication with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of LV to 132kV electricity distribution projects.
• Provide technical input and engineering assurance during design and construction phases.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate engineering activities across cable, overhead line, substation and civil work packages.
• Review technical drawings, calculations, specifications and project documentation.
• Liaise with design teams, site personnel, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Identify engineering risks and contribute to practical technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
• Assist with project commissioning, handover and close-out activities where required.
