Job summary

Ipsum is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the delivery of a portfolio of Power/Utilities projects in Carnforth. You will ensure safety, quality, and compliance while driving efficiency, resource planning, and opportunities for growth within the team.

The role focuses on delivering projects on time and within budget, with strong leadership across safety, quality, and commercial aspects, reporting to the Contract Director and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Power / Utilities operational role essential.
• Knowledge of DNO networks and statutory requirements is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a portfolio of work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with legislation and standards.
• Provide safety leadership and ensure regular safety meetings and briefings.
• Manage project delivery team, monitor budgets and timelines, and report performance to Contract Director.
